Nairobi Nights is a premium travel and companionship platform that connects international visitors with local guides for pre-arranged social experiences. As a guide, you will be able to offer your time to visitors, ensuring safe, enjoyable, and mutually beneficial encounters.
You can apply directly through the “Become a guide” page by signing up. You will need to verify your email address and upload a personal bio. Our team will then review your details, verify your identity, and you will be able to then log back in and upload your availability for bookings.

Yes. Guides must be 18 years old to join Nairobi Nights
Guides offer social companionship, nightlife experiences, dining, sightseeing, and local cultural activities. Nairobi Nights does not support or allow any illegal or unsafe activities.
We take safety very seriously. All clients are vetted before bookings, and we provide safety protocols to ensure secure encounters. You can also request meet-ups in public places and share your live location with our security team.

Yes, you have full control over your availability.
You upload your availability on our guide booking system and travellers will only see you in the searches on dates and times that match your availability.
Guides at Nairobi Nights are priced on a tier system. Every new guide earns $40 per hour booked. This amount can increase over time based on metrics such as the number of bookings you have fulfilled, the reviews you have received. How active and available you are. Punctuality and overall experience working with you.
Guides are able to request payment every 2 weeks on a schedule. You can upload your payment preferences on your profile page once we verify you as a guide.

All payments are made in KHS or USD depending on your preference.
You will be able to track all earnings from your bookings on your payments page and see what payouts are pending.

Yes, clients can request to book you specifically if they’ve had a great experience before or if they prefer your profile.
We understand emergencies happen. You must notify us as soon as possible. Frequent last-minute cancellations may affect your profile ranking or result in removal from the website.
No, guides can choose a public meet-up location for safety and comfort. We provide a number of low cost tours that customers can book to facilitate meeting guides for the first time (Bars for example).
Yes, Nairobi Nights does not share your personal details with clients. All communication and bookings happen through the platform.
Providing excellent experiences, being punctual, dressing well, and maintaining friendly interactions will boost your ratings and increase your chances of getting more bookings.
No. For the safety of our clients we ask that guides turn up to bookings alone.
Although you may be booked to go and party with a client, this does not mean its ok to turn up with a group of friends.
All attendees need to be members of Nairobi Nights, ID verified and booked through our platform.
Breaches of this rule may cause clients to request a refund in which case your earnings will be frozen until the dispute is resolved.
If you have friends who are interested, they must sign up and be fully verified with ourselves and the client needs to agree to book them.

Yes, the full set of rules can be found in our terms and conditions at the bottom of the website.
Some of the rule examples:
- Guides must look like their bio pictures. If you look dramatically different refunds may be issued to clients and you will be banned from our website.
- Guides must turn up on time! Bookings are charged hourly so its very important that guides are punctual. If you are late your earnings will be garnished and clients may request refunds.
- Guides must provide a gov issued photo ID when submitting their bio. This is for the safety of our clients and these ID’s are never shared.
- Guides can accept tips but must NEVER ask clients for money. If we receive complaints that you asked a client for money directly you will be banned from future bookings and earnings frozen.
- Guides must not share phone numbers, email addresses or social media profile info. This is to stop both guides and clients from being harassed.
- Bookings made outside of our website are not the responsibility of Nairobi Nights, these types of bookings offer no protection for guides or clients and guides encouraging this will be banned from using our website for future bookings.
At this stage Nairobi Nights does not directly reimburse guides for transport costs but we can offer a private security driver at a cost. These are highly trained ex-military personnel who typically transport our VIP clients. If you think you require a driver like this please reach out to us for a quote on cost.
